Coffee House Discovery Trio: Sumatra, Colombia and House Coffee

  • During a coffee training course in Italy in 2023, Pete, our Head of Coffee, was offered a small sample to taste. From the very first sip, he knew we had found something extraordinary. Working with Semilla Coffee Importers, we secured four rare sacks to be roasted here in Warrington. With only four sacks produced per year, we’re proud to source this limited lot and build a long-term partnership bringing their exceptional coffee to our customers.

    Tasting Notes: Bright, Fruity & Zesty

    Fizzy Cherries • Pomegranate • Candied Orange Peel

    Bright cherry notes greet the palate, softly followed by pomegranate’s gentle tang, finishing with the delicate sweetness and zest of candied orange peel. A refined, layered coffee with a lively, joyful character.

  • Grown in the lush volcanic soils of Northern Sumatra and crafted using the traditional Giling Basah (wet-hulling) method, Sumatra offers an unmistakable Indonesian profile, bold, earthy, and beautifully layered.

    Its natural terroir gives this coffee a depth and richness that’s perfect for the season.

    Tasting Notes: Deep, Warm & Indulgent

    Spice • Treacle Toffee • Dark Chocolate

    From the first sip, warm spice notes reminiscent of clove, nutmeg, and sweet aromatic wood rise to the surface.

    As it opens up, the cup develops into treacle toffee sweetness with a velvety mouthfeel, finishing with rich dark chocolate that lingers long after the last sip.

  • Blend: Brazil - Honduras - Sumatra

    Vanilla • Dark Chocolate • Bonfire Toffee

    When it comes to our house coffee we wanted to curate a blend that brought together notes of chocolate, caramel, toasted nuts & rich dark treacle. We achieve this through our three origins Brazil (Caramel & Hazelnut flavour), Honduras (Sweet & Sugary) and Sumatra (Rich, Earthy & Bonfire Toffee). Roasted to a medium profile to provide a full bodied yet complex espresso that blends perfectly with milk while creating a well balanced and rounded americano.

With our Discovery Trio, you’ll get to try our House Coffee, which delivers a well-rounded, everyday cup with comforting sweetness and balance. Sumatra brings depth and indulgence, known for its rich body and warming notes, while Colombia adds brightness and complexity with lively fruit-forward character. Together, they create a versatile trio ideal for exploring different origins, brew methods, and tastes.
